چکیده
Background Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, autoimmune, inflammatory rheumatic disease that causes tissue damage through autoantibodies and immune complexes. Patients with chronic diseases such as SLE fall into vicious circle. Fatigue depression can negatively affect the quality of life cause patients to stay at home hence, be physical inactivity. As result inactivity; exercise capacity muscle strength decrease. Objectives The aim this study investigate activity, peripheral strength, capacity, sleep, fatigue, anxiety, levels between healthy individuals. Methods Twenty-six (32.5 (24.75/43.25) years) 29 individuals (30 (23/32) were compared. Exercise (6-minute walk test (6MWT)), (dynamometer), activity (the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 smart bracelet device), fatigue (Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS)), anxiety (Hospital Anxiety Depression scale (HAD)), (SLE-specific QOL (SLEQoL)), sleep (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)) assessed. Results Demographic characteristics similar in both groups except for cigarette consumption (pack*years) (p>0.05). 6MWT distance, level, SLEQoL, PSQI scores significantly lower; FSS HAD higher (p<0.05). Moreover; difference post pretest values heart rate, dyspnea, quadriceps femoris was compared Conclusion had lower life, quality, depression. In addition; These physically inactive. Further studies are needed effects efficiency these symptoms on SLE. Evaluation of CCR5Δ32 Polymorphism in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Healthy Individuals
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5) is a chemokine receptor expressed at high levels on the surface of T-cells. A 32-bp deletion in the coding region of the CCR5 (CCR5Δ32) leads to production of an incomplete protein that is not expressed on the cell surface. CCR5Δ32 may be involved in devel...
متن کاملSkin reaction to capsaicin in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus compared to that in healthy controls
Background: The interaction between nervous and immune systems has been under investigation. Transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1(TRPV1) is a ligand gated calcium channel expressed by sensory neurons which mediates neurogenic inflammatory response. Substance p which can be released following exposure to capsaicin is a TRPV1 inducer, shown to have altered concentration and function in m...
متن کاملSex Hormones and Peripheral White Blood Cell Subsets in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients
Background: Systemic Lupus Eyrythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease charac-terized by antibodies to nuclear antigens, particularly anti-dsDNA. Imbalance between production and destruction of immune cells causes cytopenia. Sex hormones have im-munomodulatory effects; estrogen increases the production of autoantibodies in SLE prone NZB/NZW mice. Objective: To investigate the relationship bet...
متن کاملprolactin level in systemic lupus erythematosus patients
background: recent accumulated evidence suggests that prolactin (prl) is an important immunomodulator and plays an important role in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (sle). the current study aimed to compare hyperprolactinemia frequency and evaluate its possible association with lupus activity in sle patients in zahedan. methods: in a case-control study we determined serum prola...
متن کاملPregnancy Outcomes in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Background & aim: Pregnant women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are considered to be at high risk regarding fetal complications and adverse outcomes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the fetal outcomes in pregnant women with the SLE. Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on a total of 125 patients with the SLE referred to the Clinic and Department of Rheumatology of Imam...
